Footnote F1

Each Deferred Share Unit ("DSU") is the economic equivalent of one common share. The DSUs become payable, in cash or common shares or a combination of the two, at the discretion of BlackBerry Limited ("BlackBerry") following cessation of the reporting person's service as a director of BlackBerry. The DSUs were redeemed for cash on October 28th following cessation of the reporting person's service as a director of BlackBerry on September 28th.

Footnote F2

The DSUs disposed of were redeemed for cash in accordance with the BlackBerry Deferred Share Unit Plan based on the weighted average closing price of BlackBerry's share price for the five consecutive trading days prior to the redemption date on October 28th.
